Elly, Lawrence and Horace Kadoorie
The Kadoorie Family, Sephardi Jews who emigrated from Baghdad in 1880 to settle in the Far East, are synonymous with the development and fortunes of Hong Kong and Shanghai. In May 2007, Sir Michael Kadoorie founded the Hong Kong Heritage Project, a project aimed at preserving community history.
